The short answer is yes. The long answer is yes, but the right one. A life coach, through powerful conversations, helps us bring our lives into focus and prioritize our time and our objectives, so we achieve the things we want to achieve. They can also act as you source of accountability. If you don’t follow through, they will ask why. Not to judge, but to give you someone to hold yourself accountable to. Then if you have difficulty, they can help you navigate those difficulties.
You have a million things you need to do at any one time. Finding the time is always a challenge. In my case, I homeschool my youngest. I run him to activities and therapists. Time is a commodity like money in our lives; we do everything for family and friends but forget about us. We forget that in order to do the things we want, have the things we want, and be the people we want to be; we need to put the time into it. So, finding time to meet with a life coach is difficult. You need a life coach who can meet with you when you’re available.
Cost is another determining factor. How much will it cost me? A life coach can charge $100-$200/hour. That’s a lot if you don’t know what you’ll get out of it. It really depends on what you’re looking to get out of it and what it’s worth to you.
If you’re looking to increase your own earnings, then definitely, you need a coach. If you’re looking to create a new habit, you need to decide if that new habit is worth money spent. If you do the work, your earnings will increase, and you will acquire the new habit. The real question you need to ask yourself is: Have I accomplished my goals thus far, without one?
