Taking Time

There is something to be said for taking time. It doesn’t matter what it’s for: self-improvement, quiet time, or with someone. It always pays off. In a recent study out of Glasgow, Scotland, they found those who experienced high quality, rather than the most, me-time enjoyed better work-life balance, well-being and were more engaged at work. Actually, the better quality of “me” time, even if it’s only a minute a day, you receive benefit. They say that if you want more of something, give that thing. If you want more “you” time, take (or give) a minute of “you” time. If you want to spend time with a friend, call them and schedule time with them. Most of the time, people are just as busy as you and would appreciate it if you initiate contact. If you do it properly, no one will die, and you’ll find yourself refreshed. It may even lead to more time miraculously opening up. I invite you to try it for a week. Notice what happens. Learn the power of taking time.
